Quality Gas Services has been in the propane business in Bertie and the surrounding counties since 1998 when it was established as an offshoot of Bertie Electric which was sold in 2010. Its owner, Randy Hughes, has been in the propane business in one form or another since 1994 when he was hired as manager of Western Gas in Edenton by the late Les Fagan. He remained there until Mr. Fagan sold the business in 1995 at which time he joined Eastern Fuels. In 1998 Randy started his own propane company Quality Gas Services. As a privately-held company Quality Gas Services operates with much more flexibility than many other companies in the area. When you call your local office you always know that you are dealing with a decision maker from your own community. Our focus is top notch quality service with a personal touch and, in the days of customers becoming merely numbers, we are consciously trying to move in the other direction. We look forward to being your hometown propane company!
