Williams Fuel has been in the propane business in Edgecombe County since 1996 when it purchased Jenkins Corporation in Tarboro. All-Star Gas in Wilson as well as NCNG's propane operations in Wilson and Tarboro were added in 2000. Today Williams Fuel operates with offices in both Tarboro and Wilson and services all of the surrounding counties. Tarboro is managed by Tommy White who has been in the propane business in one form or another since 1972 including thirty-three years as a manager with both national and independent propane companies. Michael Glover manages the Wilson operation and has propane experience dating back to 1992. As a privately-held company Williams Fuel operates with much more flexibility than many other companies in the area.
