Lloyd Hilgendorf started Hilgy’s LP Gas in 1956. He started out delivering 100 pound cylinders out of the gas station that he owned at the time. He moved up to bulk gas delivery and continued for many years with his wife Rita helping with the business. His son Carl started working with him in the early 80’s. After Lloyd’s passing in 1996, Carl and his wife Kim took over, continuing the family business.
