In 1921 a group of local leaders banded together to form a company for the purpose of procuring a reliable supply of petroleum products at a reasonable price. Thus forming Cottonwood Co-op Oil Company, and the world's first oil cooperative. In response to their patrons' needs, the company has evolved to also provide products and services in, LP Gas, Agronomy, Heating & Cooling, Plumbing, and Grain Drying and Handling Equipment.
